THE STORY OF THE ARMORY
Necessity is the mother of all invention! This was also true for the Armory. The inventor Matthew, had some tough requirements for his strength training tool.
Matthew's tool would have to be rugged and sturdy with the ability to work his muscle to complete fatigue with out interruption. His tool would have to work the complete forearm, a 360 degree perspective. You see, arm wrestlers, power lifters, and other athletes, require (and usually have) very strong, extremely built up ligaments. The idea is to work the muscle completely, 360 degrees, activating the whole ligament structure that connects the hand muscles to the forearm muscles. Working the complete forearm muscles provides a full range of strength to be available for use, not just one specific motion. His tool would have to portable and something that would not be any hassle what's so ever to use. The first prototype functioned just like the final Armory does today. Today's Armory is much more attractive than the first!
Here is the story ... while serving in the United
States Navy Matthew was an undefeated arm wrestling champion. He
was so good that he was rejected by his weight class! His competitors
included other Americans and various European host nation's athletes. Technically Matthew’s
weight put him in the third heaviest weight class, however, to keep things fair
he was usually forced to compete in the second heaviest weight class. Matthew remained
undefeated and eventually settled back to
This man was genetically equivalent to Matthew with one exception: his forearm bone was about an inch longer than Matthew's. The Iowa Champ was the only person to beat Matthew at his own game. The only person to beat Matthew had the laws of physics on his side. Matthew was determined to overcome the Champ's advantage! By building up muscles of his forearm and hand, Matthew was confident that he could overcome the Champ's leverage advantage.
He set out to find the right tool to help him build superior forearm strength. He bought virtually every device and gadget on the market. The major problems with the various devices include: inability of the product to allow user to reach muscle fatigue, most devices were inconvenient or too fragile in their construction. To his dismay (and because of his naturally massive forearms) he destroyed a few of the devices and the rest he simple had to throw way because they did not work. He had invested hundred of dollars in inferior products. His quest to build superior hand and forearm strength was in jeopardy! It was at this point that Matthew decided it was necessary to build his own unit ... it was his only hope … and that Ladies and Gentlemen, was how the Armory was born!

The implications for not only arm wrestling but baseball, golf, tennis, power lifting, rock climbing, boxing, physical therapy and you name it - are staggering. Finally! A genuine tool that actually works as good as the machines and roll bar found at the gym. There where seven prototypes built and tested before Matthew achieved the results he desired. The Armory you are able to buy today has had no less than 9 years of research and development. Although he never did meet the Champ again, because the Champ "retired", Matthew did seek and was awarded a utility patent. We offer the Armory to you today confident that it will increase your capabilities and help you in your own pursuit of excellence. And we promise that if the Champ ever comes out of retirement we will tell you what happened.
